Mothers often feel they need to teach their newborns everything, but when they become aware of how their infants are also teaching them, the mother / child relationship flourishes even more. This book seeks to help you build a solid foundation with your child as it redefines our typical perspective of infants. Instead of feeling like only we teach them, Amy encourages you to observe how your newborn is also teaching you.  She shares personal accounts about what core attributes she learned from her babies. Developing these key qualities help moms deepen their faith and stay grounded - even sane at times - as they bump up against the craziness in the world and help their children navigate through it. Overall, this book’s insightful perspective encourages us to cultivate beloved and trusting relationships which result in living more peacefully.

“What an original, lovely resource this is for mothers!

With a fresh perspective on how a mother can learn from her baby, Amy, shares thoughtful insights that are sure to guide mothers to feeling peace, wonder and increased bonding with their infants.

I’ll definitely add this book to my go-to baby shower gifts!”

I totally get it.

I’m a Mom, too.

If you’re ready to partner with a mom who gets you, and you’re ready to clarify your role and confidently express it, then you’re in the right place.

Before I had kids I had no idea what really went into being a mother.  I’m sure you can relate. And now, after two, I have a better understanding, but I’m still evolving - every day.

I’m constantly trying to balance family and work, while making some time for myself, too. Being a mom is amazing, and it can also be overwhelming. Raising little people to become the best versions of themselves is hard work - especially as we’re learning on the job.

That being said, it’s still essential for us to make time for ourselves and reflect on how we’re evolving. The more aware we are on the journey of motherhood, the more empowered we feel on a daily basis. And that helps us with our ultimate goal: raising independent, healthy, compassionate adults.

Serving women this way is my mission.

Before becoming a mother, I worked as a career counselor. I loved it. My mantra became “Life is too short not to like what you do on a daily basis.”  Most of my clients were either too scared to change, or didn’t know how to change. Watching them recreate their lives was incredibly rewarding.

A few years ago, I became certified to teach The Creative Insight Journey, a transformational class from Stanford University. The class teaches aspects of mindfulness and self-awareness through effective, simple-to-apply tools.

I started looking at the role of ‘Mom’ through the lens of a career counselor with a new-found respect for the importance of self-awareness. With my background as both as a career counselor and course facilitator, I encourage mothers to develop a strong sense of self-understanding in order to become more confident and self-aware.

This has evolved into initiating thoughtful conversations for moms. We don’t have to devalue our role as 'Mom' - in fact - we should be elevating its importance, while honoring the challenges. Too often I’ve heard mothers say they’re ‘just a mom’ or they’re overwhelmed as a mother.

I designed my online course to support all of us. It’s up to us to clarify the role of motherhood for ourselves.

The best part of teaching is hearing about the positive results moms see in themselves, and in their families.

When I left the hospital with my newborn, I remember thinking - “You expect me to just take care of her on my own?  Really? I’m still trying to figure life out myself!” This role doesn’t come with instructions. There are so many aspects to motherhood, there isn’t a degree you can earn, and you don’t get a trial period for the job.

So to support all the moms out there, I created this course.

It’s called, Moms: Courageous Women Raising the Next Generation.

We get to learn together, grow together and you get to carve out the time you need to design your role as “Mom”.

Being a parent is the biggest job we’ll ever have. It’s a huge responsibility, interlaced with love and joy. The key is to break it down into smaller chunks and think about certain aspects of motherhood so we can consciously decide what does and doesn’t work for us.

It’s not about being a ‘perfect’ mom - perfection isn’t real. But continual positive growth is real.

Become aware of who you are. Design your own path as ‘Mom’.

I want you to recognize the value you bring in raising the next generation.

I’m a fellow mom - part confidant, part hand-holder and part mentor.

I offer you a different perspective and that extra bit needed of insight, courage, creativity and fun.

Let’s envision what being a mom truly means to you.

Book a call with me today and we’ll link arm-in-arm as you walk through your beautiful journey of motherhood.

I love hearing how moms are coming into their own and offering them insight along the way.

I’d love to connect with you.  Let’s schedule some time.
